geoYoga is registered with Yoga Alliance as a 200 hour teacher training school.

Reiki Circle

First Thursday of Each Month
8 to 9 p.m.

Join Reiki practitioners at geoYoga as they share this healing energy with the community the first Thursday of every month.  Our next circle will be held June 7.

Reiki is a Japanese relaxation technique with healing properties.  There are 72 teaching universities and numerous hospitals in the United States with Reiki departments.  Come experience how this energy can help to relax and heal you in this safe, familiar environment.

Joy of Living Workshop Level 2 
Opening the Heart

November 16, 17, and 18, 2012
Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In this weekend meditation workshop, we will learn how meditating on loving-kindness and compassion can open our hearts to the world around us and relax the self-centered tendencies that lead to anxiety, dissatisfaction, and suffering. Cultivating loving-kindness and compassion helps us to see the basic goodness that all beings share. By relating to others in an open hearted way, we bring peace to the mind and develop a sense of confidence and purpose. This, in turn, naturally brings harmony to our relationships and enables us to work with challenging situations more effectively.

The schedule for this weekend workshop includes video teachings by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, short presentations on the key points of meditation practice by Tergar instructor Tim Olmsted, as well as guided meditations and discussion.

This retreat is open to meditators who have previously attended a Joy of Living Level I meditation workshop and practiced meditation regularly for six months and to those who have practiced meditation regularly for at least three years.

Our studio is conveniently located in Stuart, Florida. Here we hope you will find a retreat from the stresses of life and a haven for the balancing and strengthening of body, mind, and spirit. It is our sincere goal to inspire more people to practice yoga, and thus to experience the wellness, power, and beauty within.

Sunday nights at geoYoga we have a study group that meets to discuss the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the basis of classical yoga. We are using Edwin F. Bryant's translation and commentary. The book is available at the studio.

Our next meeting will be April 1, 2012.

Topic to be discussed: Pada 4, verses 29–34.

Strong Vinyasa

Much like our other Vinyasa classes, but a "strong" class might incorporate more challenging postures, longer holds, or a more dynamic flow.  Sure to be sweaty and fun!  A strong Ujaii breath carries us through this practice.

Prenatal Yoga

Prenatal Yoga begins again on Sunday, April 15 from 1-2 p.m. Join Gina for a series of classes designed specifically for the journey of pregnancy and childbirth.  $12 for a drop-in.

Sundays from 1:00-2:00. Participants are urged to eat something light approximately 1 hour prior to class.
